He made the assertion while making his appearance on Arise TV over the weekend.
According to him: “Nigerians get what they want, what they deserve. You can’t complain. I think. Nigerians at all times had had opportunities to vote. Whatever you vote for is what you deserve,” he said.
The former governor didn’t mention names though in his speech .
Recalled Rotimi Amaechi contested in the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress in the last primaries elections.
Nigerians have lamented the harsh effects of President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies.
Reacting on the nation’s current economy situation under Tinubu administration, the former minister said Nigerians could seek greener pastures and explore opportunities abroad.
“I have always discouraged those who want to leave the country, I say 9-5? Yes, you can always get 9-5 job when you leave the country, but you can never get the opportunity you get in Nigeria.
“You can just wake up one day and become a minister in Nigeria. You can just wake up one day, and you become a governor. It just happens; I don’t know how the country operates,” said the former governor.
He listed insecurity and lack of employment creation as factors driving citizens outside the country, adding that only the government can solve the challenges.
