VeryDarkMan has given an update on the alleged theft of N180 million from an NGO’s funds, stating that N78 million has been recovered so far, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
He assured the public that efforts to retrieve the remaining funds are ongoing.
According to VeryDarkMan, the theft was an inside job, with one or more individuals within the organization leaking information to the perpetrators.
He plans to travel to Ghana to advance the investigation. Additionally, VeryDarkMan reported ongoing cyberattacks on the MVOI website, with the highest attack activity occurring on December 17 from a U.S.-based IP address.
These attacks had multiple objectives, including disrupting website functionality, accessing financial data without authorization, and attempting to overload the server with denial-of-service (DoS) attacks.
In response, VeryDarkMan has assured stakeholders that additional security measures have been implemented to safeguard the website and its users, with the NGO’s team committed to protecting both digital assets and the ongoing efforts to recover the stolen funds.
