Brigadier General Kunle Nafiu has been appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the new Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), with immediate effect, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
Prior to his appointment, Brig. Gen. Nafiu served as Chief of Staff to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Olufemi Oluyede, a position he also held under the late Lt. General Raised Abiodun Lagbaja.
As a member of the 47 Regular Course, Nafiu is an Artillery Officer with extensive military training, having graduated from the Armed Forces Command and Staff College and the U.S. Army War College.
He has also served as a Directing Staff at the Nigerian Army War College.
Hailing from Ileogbo in Aiyedire Local Government Area of Osun State, Nafiu takes over from Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed as the new head of the NYSC.
