RUGIPO Team Pays Courtesy Visit to Minister of Interior, Dr Bunmi Tunji-Ojo A high-level delegation from Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, led by Acting Rector Adegun S. O., paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Minister of Interior, Dr. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, in Abuja, to foster collaboration and explore mutual growth opportunities, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS. The Minister, Permanent Secretary, and top ministry officials were in attendance. The Acting Rector expressed gratitude for the Minister’s time and praised his dedication to social impact, development, and efficiency. The institution’s pressing needs, including electricity, perimeter fencing, and support for the upcoming convocation ceremony, were discussed. The Minister received a briefing from Mr Abiodun Ogunduboye, Director of the newly established Career Service Center at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, funded by TETFUND, on the centre’s vision and mission to support students in career development, highlighting the initiative’s potential and the need for maximum support to achieve its objectives. The Minister reaffirmed his commitment to the well-being and progress of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo and pledged his support for the Career Service Center initiative. He applauded the Career Service Center initiative, recognizing the need for Nigerian students to develop their careers, receive mentorship, and innovate, and stressing that higher institutions should focus on more than just certificate acquisition. The courtesy call marked a significant step towards exploring support opportunities for the institution through collaboration with influential sons and daughters of the state.
