SGF Akume Alleges Criminals Cloned His Voice to Defraud VIPs

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has raised alarm that his voice has been cloned by criminal syndicates seeking to defraud high-profile individuals. According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yomi Odunuga, the fraudsters use the cloned voice to promise federal appointments in exchange for money.

Akume also alleged that the scammers have gone as far as cloning the phone numbers of prominent individuals to solicit funds from unsuspecting members of the public. He described the scheme as a calculated attempt to exploit trust and lure victims into paying for non-existent government positions.

The SGF urged the public to exercise caution and verify any such offers, stressing that his office has been overwhelmed with reports and inquiries on the activities of the criminal networks. He warned that anyone demanding money for appointments in his name is a fraudster and should be reported to the authorities immediately.
