The Senate has confirmed Dr. Aminu Maida’s appointment as Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC).
The Chairman Senate Committee, Sen. Bilbis Ikra (APC-Zamfara) submitted a report that was accepted by the Committee of the Whole on Thursday, during plenary.
The committee Chairman pleaded with his colleagues to considered President Bola Tinubu’s nomination for NCC Chairman, saying that the request complied with the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) Establishment Act, 2003, Section 8 (1).
Senator Ikra said that the nominee had been properly engaged by the committee and that he had received all security clearances.
Aminu Maida’s appointment as the NCC’s executive vice chairman was subsequently approved by the distinguished senators.
