The Presidency has denied the viral publication of President Tinubu directing the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor (CBN) Olayemi Cardoso to quit.
In the report, it was reported that President Tinubu dismissed the CBN governor due to his inability in strengthening Nigeria’s currency and hardship in the country.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and strategy on Tuesday refuted the suspicious claims.
According to him;“It’s all lies. President Tinubu has not asked Yemi Cardoso to resign,” Onanuga noted.
