Olujimi Adekanle, publisher of SavannahNewnow, made history in Toronto, Canada, by receiving the Change Makers of Brampton City award for his remarkable community contributions and support.
Given the award-winning humour merchant and publisher’s numerous notable recognitions in the past, this comes as no surprise.
Patrick Brown, the Mayor of Brampton, expressed his satisfaction with the Publisher’s demonstration of love and willingness to support community initiatives in Brampton during a colourful ceremony where he made the presentation.
The Publisher expressed gratitude to the Mayor and the people of Brampton for the recognition, noting that the symbolic gesture would strengthen the bond between the Nigerians.
“I’d like to express my gratitude for this honour. I appreciate the warm welcome and recognition from the city of Brampton. What brings me joy is the Mayor’s pride in the positive impact of the Nigerian community in Brampton, which we discussed during our conversation.
“I believe that this symbolic gesture will open more doors to every single one of us. On behalf of myself, and the Nigeria people I say thank you,” the publisher said.
