A disturbing video has surfaced on social media showing a Nigerian police officer brutally beating his wife in front of their children, who watched in terror and begged him to stop.
A video posted on X, formerly Twitter, captures a uniformed officer brutally assaulting his wife, repeatedly striking her and pinning her to the ground, as she begs for help and their children cry out in distress.
The footage captures children sobbing uncontrollably and attempting to shield their mother from further harm, but their efforts barely register with the enraged man, whose identity remains unconfirmed by authorities.
Many Nigerians have condemned the act as barbaric and are demanding the Nigeria Police Force take immediate action to ensure the safety of the woman and her children.
As of the time of this report, the police have yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
