El Periodico reports that the couple made the decision in December, but kept it private, only sharing the news with those closest to them.
Despite his efforts to keep his personal life private, Guardiola has maintained discretion about his separation, although sources close to the couple describe their relationship as ‘completely cordial, stable, and friendly’ after their decision to part ways.
The couple, who met in 1994, got married in 2014 in a private ceremony in Barcelona, and have three children together: Maria, Màrius, and Valentina.
