Authorities in Ondo state have launched a search for three members of the Deeper Life Bible Church in Ogbese, Akure North local government area, who were kidnapped, according to officials on Tuesday.
Three Christians were reportedly kidnapped Monday evening while returning from a bible study.
A church message obtained by SavannahNewnow on Tuesday morning stated, “Good morning beloved, please pray with us as three of our members were kidnapped yesterday after bible study at Kasemola inside Ogbese axis.”
Church members in the area are praying for divine intervention to secure the release of the kidnapped victims, while police and Amotekun Corps personnel have been alerted and are taking action.
Olushola Ayanlade, police spokesperson in the state, confirmed the incident and stated that police personnel are searching for the victims and kidnappers in the surrounding bush.
