The Ondo State Government has confirmed the death of the state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
The confirmation of the governor’s death came several hours after news of his demise.
Ondo State Governor Akeredolu has passed away at the age of 67 due to complications from a prolonged battle with prostate cancer.
The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, revealed the sad news, stating that the governor peacefully departed while undergoing medical treatment in Germany.
The commissioner also disclosed that a letter has been sent to President Bola Tinubu to officially inform him of the governor’s demise, and additional details about funeral arrangements will be disclosed by the family and state government
