Lagos Magistrate Court sitting in Sabo, Yaba area, has discharged and acquitted singer Naira Marley, his associate SamLarry, Primeboy and Mohbad’s manager, Opere Babatunde, over the death of Aloba Oladimeji lleriOluwa, also known as Mohbad, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, acting on the legal advice of the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) Lagos, ruled that there was no case to answer regarding the late singer’s demise.
However, the DPP stated that it will prosecute the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, and Ayobami Sadiq, a friend of Mohbad, for reckless and negligent acts in violation of Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law, Ch C.17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
The duo will face prosecution in the Magistrate Court.
Mohbad’s death on September 12, 2023, was shrouded in controversy.
