Nigerian singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has urged the Lagos State Police Command to reopen investigations into the death of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka Mohbad.
Speaking in a video on Tuesday, Marley insisted on his innocence and called for his re-arrest alongside his associate, Samson Balogun (Samlarry), and others previously linked to the case. He further demanded that a trustworthy officer be appointed to handle the matter transparently.
The rapper also disclosed that he has reached an agreement with Mohbad’s lawyer to ensure the late singer’s royalties are given to whichever family member the court names as administrator of his estate. Mohbad died under controversial circumstances on September 12, 2023, sparking public outrage and multiple arrests.
