A tragic incident occurred on Sunday in Lagos State as a mosque collapsed, raising fears that many worshippers may have lost their lives.
The exact details of the collapse remain unclear, but reports indicate that the mosque was located on Yusuf Street in the Papa Ajao area of Mushin.
Nosa Okunbor, the Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), confirmed the incident.
He stated that emergency responders are currently on the scene conducting rescue operations.
“Our personnel are actively involved in the rescue mission as we speak. That’s all the information available at this moment,” Okunbor said in a phone interview.
