Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), met with ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State, over the weekend to discuss Nigeria’s political future.
The meeting was held at the residence of Olusegun Obasanjo within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, with Donald Duke, former Governor of Cross River State, in attendance.
According to Kwankwaso, who disclosed the engagement on X, the discussions centered on significant national issues, including the future of politics and governance in Nigeria.
“I was pleased to be in the company of my friend, HE Donald Duke, and other associates to pay a courtesy call on President Olusegun Obasanjo at his residence in Abeokuta. Deliberations on significant national issues, including the future of politics and governance in Nigeria, defined the conversation,” Kwankwaso stated.
The NNPP leader expressed gratitude to Obasanjo for his “warm support and hospitality” during the visit, which he described as a valuable exchange of ideas.
