A kidnapping report that circulated widely on social media alleging that pupils were abducted from a primary school in Iju-Odo, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, has been confirmed as false.

The rumour had alleged that kidnappers invaded a primary school in Iju-Odo and whisked away pupils in two fully loaded lorries, sparking panic among residents and parents.
However, security sources have debunked the report, describing it as misinformation and assuring the public that no kidnapping incident was recorded in the area.
