A federal lawmaker representing Isa-Sabon Birni federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Abdulkadir Jelani Danbuga, has died.
Danbuga, died around 12:30am on Wednesday after a brief illness.
Aminu Almustapha, a member of the Sokoto State House of Assembly representing the Sabon Birni South seat Confirmed he was admitted in the hospital around Tuesday noon.
In his statement:“His remains would be taken to the National Mosque for the bathing ritual after which it would be flown to Sokoto for burial around 11am,” Almustapha said.
Danbuga is survived by two wives, many children and grandchildren.
He was elected under the umbrella of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
