Suspected bandits attacked the residence of RCCG pastor Austin Ifeji in Gwagwalada, a Mararaba community near Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, in the early hours of Monday, February 17, killing his son and abducting his wife, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
According to reports, heavily armed attackers stormed the residence, wounding Pastor Ifeji with machetes, but he managed to escape.
However, his son was shot and later died in hospital.
The kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N30 million for the release of the pastor’s wife, according to residents.
“The boy is the only son of his parents as he has four other females. He did not like how they were manhandling his mother and confronted the kidnappers and they shot him,” the source said.
