Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, representing Ondo Southern Senatorial District, has denied involvement in the crisis at the Okitipupa Oil Palm Company and warned stakeholders to stop associating him with the issue, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
In a statement personally signed, he emphasized that he is not part of the crisis and does not engage in secret fights, instead advocating for dialogue or state government intervention to resolve the matter.
If these efforts fail, he suggests seeking a solution through the courts.
The statement reads:”My attention has been drawn to a disagreement between a group of people and the Oil Palm Company in Okitipupa within the Ondo Southern Senatorial District, which I currently represent in the Senate.
“I was informed that some persons have been dropping my name as the supporter of the face-off.
“I hereby state unequivocally that I have neither been involved nor supported the crisis.
“Also, I hereby warn all those who have been dropping my name as the sponsor or supporter of the face-off to desist from dropping my name.
“All parties to the crisis are warned not to mention my name nor get me involved in the crisis.
“I don’t fight secretly, if I want to fight, I fight in the open.
“I advise all the parties involved to embrace dialogue or invite the Ondo State Government to resolve the matter for you.
“In the worst scenario, you can approach the court to seek redress.”
