A Canadian-based Nigerian activist, Olujimi Adekanle widely known as JAF has commended the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and his political structure for what he described as sustained efforts to mobilise support for the second-term bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, SavannahNewnow Reports.
The activist, in a statement on Thursday, alleged that Tunji-Ojo and his political allies remain among the most visible structures actively campaigning for the re-election of President Tinubu in Ondo State.
According to him, while the Minister and his team are investing political energy in strengthening support for the President and the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and what he described as his “e-rats” are allegedly preoccupied with activities capable of undermining the party’s cohesion.
He argued that the political activities of Tunji-Ojo’s structure demonstrate a clear commitment to the Tinubu administration and the broader objective of securing the President’s return to office in 2027.
The activist said, “The Honourable Minister for Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and his structure are the only groups visibly campaigning for PBAT’s second term. Lucky and his e-rats are campaigning against the APC.”
He further alleged that the minister’s political network has continued to mobilise stakeholders and grassroots supporters across Ondo State, describing the efforts as a significant contribution to the President’s re-election campaign.
Adekanle pplauded Tunji-Ojo and members of his political team for what he called their “wonderful work” in Ondo State, particularly their efforts to build a stronger support base for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He maintained that political structures should prioritise strengthening the APC and expanding its electoral base rather than engaging in internal battles that could weaken the party ahead of the 2027 polls.
The activist’s comments come amid growing political realignments and competing structures within the APC in Ondo State, as politicians and their supporters position themselves ahead of the 2027 elections.
