With the Ondo State governorship election approaching, the Independent Campaign Group (I.C.G) has urged its members across the state’s 18 local government areas to increase their efforts in advocating for Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s candidacy, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
In a press conference in Akure, Prince Bayo Ikubuwaje, the group’s Convener, highlighted the importance of continuing the state’s progress through the current government’s development projects.
He praised Aiyedatiwa for his inclusive leadership and ability to maintain peace and drive development in the state.
The State Coordinator, Mr Abiodun Ogunduboye, outlined the governor’s investments in health, education, security, infrastructure, and worker welfare and called for I.C.G. members to mobilize support for Aiyedatiwa’s victory.
Ogunduboye advised Ondo State residents not to make the mistake of falling for the unrealistic and deceitful campaign promises of any other contender and thus elect the wrong person as governor.
Mr Jide Ogidan, the group’s spokesman, also advised its members across the State not to make the mistake of electing someone who would not improve their lots in the election.
Ikubuwaje encouraged journalists to maintain ethical reporting standards throughout the election process.
