Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has asserted that he cannot be expelled from the Peoples Democratic Party by any individual member.
On Monday in Abuja, Wike told the media that he is still a dedicated member of the PDP and dared his critics to match his level of commitment to the party.
“I am still in PDP. I worked hard for the party. I have not seen anybody who will have the guts to tell me, Wike, you are not a member of the party. Who is that? What is his contribution to the party that is more than me?” he said.
His comments come amid internal PDP strife, particularly regarding his role in President Bola Tinubu’s administration and speculation surrounding his political loyalty.
Just last month, Wike went public with his withdrawal from previous party agreements, pledging to fight for what he termed justice and fairness.
