–Police Launch Investigation
The Ogun State Police Command has launched a full-scale investigation into the killing of a retired Ogun State Television (OGTV) broadcaster, Mrs. Kitan Oyesiku, and her security guard at her residence in Iyana Agodo Village, Ogun State.
The tragic incident came to light after a concerned resident reportedly observed unusual activity around the property and alerted security authorities.
Police detectives who responded to the scene discovered signs of forced entry and evidence suggesting that the residence had been ransacked.
According to the command, the body of the security guard was found in the security post within the compound, while Mrs. Oyesiku was discovered dead inside her apartment. Preliminary findings also revealed that the deceased broadcaster’s vehicle was missing from the premises, raising suspicions of a robbery-related attack.
Reacting to the incident, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, ordered an intensive investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the killings and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The police said intelligence-driven and surveillance operations have been activated across the state as part of efforts to identify, track, and apprehend those responsible for the crime.
The command further appealed to members of the public with credible information that could assist the investigation to promptly report to the nearest police station or relevant security agencies.
