A coalition of Nigerians in Diaspora for Good Governance has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to reassign another Challenging Ministry to the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
The converner of the group, Olujimi Adekanle expressed confidence in Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo considering his performance as a Minister of Interior.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, yesterday in his first media briefing confirmed that the President was considering a reshuffle of his cabinet but declined to speak exactly when it would happen.
The group in a press release made a case for Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and begged the President to reassign him to another higher Ministry.
In the press statement; “Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo stands tall among the first three performing Ministers in the cabinet of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
“Olubunmi took most people by surprise with the way he turned around the Ministry of Interior globally, which earned him the award of the “Global face of Tinubu’s Government” by the coalition of Nigerians in Diaspora for good governance.
“He came to the Ministry of Interior and changed the narrative by improving the services of the Ministry both home and abroad, for the first time in the history of Nigeria.
“The Minister was able to enrol the country into the International Civil Aviation Organization(ICAO), Public Key Directory(PKD) and Public Key Infrastructure(PKI) and this has improved the global ranking of our Nigerian International passport, ease of passage in any entry point across the world and as well of beefing up internal security, what a great achievement.
“We are appealing to Mr President to reassign another challenging Ministry to this young firebrand that is hungry to perform and deliver as he has set the pace for continuous development in the Interior ministry”.
