Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has invited the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martins Amaewhule, and all Honourable members to a crucial meeting on Monday, March 10, 2025, following the Supreme Court judgment.
The meeting, scheduled to take place at the Government House in Port Harcourt, will address critical governance matters, including securing a suitable venue for Assembly sessions, settling outstanding allowances for lawmakers, and presenting the state budget.
On March 7, 2025, the Secretary to the State Government reaffirmed Governor Fubara’s dedication to fostering a collaborative relationship between the legislative and executive branches to advance the interests of Rivers State, while also expressing the governor’s willingness to address pressing concerns of the Assembly.
