Google has announced the appointment of Alex Okosi, to take over the affair of the company in Africa.
Okosi is a seasoned media, entertainment, and technology leader.
Okosi is a former Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Viacom International Media Networks Africa and BET International.
Before his appointment, has been has been serving as the Managing Director for YouTube in Europe, the Middle East and Africa Emerging Markets.
In his new role, Okosi will be responsible for Google’s operations in Africa.
According to Meir Brand, Vice President, EMEA Emerging Markets at Google; “Alex is a proven leader with a wealth of experience in the media and technology industries. He has a deep understanding of African countries and a passion for using technology to empower people and businesses,”
