Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has retained eight key members of his cabinet as he finalises a fresh list of commissioner nominees to be forwarded to the State House of Assembly.
This move follows the lifting of the emergency rule in the state, signaling a new phase of administrative stability and continuity in governance.
The retained officials include: Dr. Tammy Danagogo (Secretary to the State Government), Ehie Edison (Chief of Staff), Dr. Adaeze Oreh (Commissioner for Health).
Others are; Joe Johnson (Commissioner for Information and Communication), Chisom Kenneth Gbali (Commissioner for Youth Development), Engr. Victor Kii (Commissioner for Agriculture), Charles Amadi (Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Community Affairs), and Christopher Green (Commissioner for Sports).
Governor Fubara’s decision to retain these core members of his cabinet is seen as a strategic effort to ensure policy continuity and administrative balance while paving the way for the inclusion of new faces in his executive council.
Sources close to the Government House disclosed that the governor’s new list of nominees will reflect a blend of experience, loyalty, and competence aimed at consolidating his reform agenda and strengthening governance structures across the state.
