Senator Sarafadeen Alli, Sunday said there is a fake empowerment in circulation on his behalf by fraudsters using his name to defraud people, SAVANNAH NEWS REPORTS.
Senator Sarafadeen Alli is the Senator representing Oyo South in the current 10th Assembly.
This was made known to the general public in a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abass.
The statement stressed that Senator Alli is not involved in any such shameful activities and has not authorized anyone or his aides to demand money on his behalf for such purposes.
The statement partly reads: “It has come to our attention that someone has been using the name of our principal, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, to defraud people on the pretext of providing empowerment opportunities,” it said.
“Please be informed that Senator Alli is not involved in any such activities and has not authorised anyone to demand money on his behalf for such purposes.”
