The federal government has declared Friday, June 6, 2025, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays to commemorate Eid-ul-Adha this year.
Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior, made the declaration on behalf of the federal government and congratulated all Muslim Ummah at home and abroad on this occasion.
The minister urged the Muslim Ummah to continue demonstrating the spirit of sacrifice and faith, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, and to pray for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria during the period.
The Minister assured Nigerians that the reforms and initiatives implemented under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda are aimed at putting Nigeria back on track for progress.
As the Minister wishes the Muslim Ummah a happy Eid-ul-Adha celebration, he encourages all Nigerians to support the current administration’s efforts to reclaim Nigeria’s status as a great nation.
