The former minister of social development, disaster management, and humanitarian affairs, Sadiya Umar-Farouk, has arrived at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters to honour the commission invitation.
According to the EFCC, the former minister reportedly mismanaged N37,170,855,753.44 during her tenure by a contractor named James Okwete.
Savannah Newsnow reliably gathered that Sadiya Umar-Farouk honoured the EFCC’s invitation at around 10 a.m. on Monday, January 8 in Abuja.
Sadiya disclosed her arrival on her X page, that she was present in the EFCC offices.
She wrote: “I have, at my behest, arrived at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to honour the invitation by the anti-graft agency to offer clarifications in respect of some issues that the commission is investigating,” Umar-Farouq tweeted on Monday morning.
