El-Rufai Responds to Reno Omokri

Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, has responded to allegations made by Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide, that he was involved in the genocide of Southern Kaduna Christians and enabled violence while in office.

He also brought up El-Rufai’s past controversial comments about Christians and alleged that he paid off killer herdsmen.

El-Rufai responded on X, describing Omokri as a “PR consultant” and “online influencer” who thrives in the “Renewed Hope era” due to his “moral flexibility” and “total shamelessness.”

“The only qualifications needed to be on the payroll are (1) moral flexibility, (2) total shamelessness, (3) selective amnesia, (4) wretched upbringing, and (5) intense craving for quick and easy money,” El-Rufai wrote.

Omokri countered by reiterating his allegations that El-Rufai’s administration was responsible for human rights abuses, including the 2015 Zaria Shiite massacre.
