Beatrice Ekweremadu, the wife of former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, has returned to Nigeria after being released from a UK prison, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
Following a six-year prison sentence in the UK for her involvement in a contentious organ harvesting case, Mrs. Ekweremadu reportedly arrived in the country on Tuesday.
The case, which also implicated Senator Ekweremadu and Dr. Obinna Obeta, a medical doctor, garnered substantial international attention.
Senator Ekweremadu received a 10-year prison sentence for his involvement, while Dr. Obeta also received a conviction.
