Ekiti guber: I will defeat Oyebanji without my brother’s support – Emmanuel Fayose

Otunba Emmanuel Fayose, an aspirant for governor, has denounced his elder brother, former Governor Ayodele Fayose, for supporting Governor Biodun Oyebanji, labeling it a betrayal of the People’s Democratic Party, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.

Otunba Fayose, in a statement released on Monday in Abuja, criticized the former governor for supporting an APC governor rather than working to fortify the PDP.

In his words:“I am still at a loss about why a PDP chieftain will be endorsing a governor elected on another platform, APC.

“This is nothing but acting in bad faith and a betrayal of trust, considering what former governor Mr Ayodele Fayose has benefitted from the PDP in the past. Rather than build the party, he is busy destroying it,” he stated.

Otunba Fayose, who is running for the PDP governorship ticket in the 2026 Ekiti election, called on party leaders to rally behind his candidacy to ‘rescue Ekiti State from poor governance’ under the ruling APC, expressing confidence that the PDP will win despite internal party divisions and the perceived failure of the Oyebanji administration.
