Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Asue Ighodalo has disclosed the conditions in which he would accept defeat come Sempterber 21, 2024.
Ighodalo revealed this during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today.
During the interview, he stated that he would only accept defeat if he loses fairly.
However, based on his assessment of the campaign and his rapport with the people of Edo State, he is confident of victory.
Ighodalo begged the Edo people to come and cast their vote assuring the people that their safety would be protected during and after the election.
He stressed that the outcome would be decided solely by the people of Edo State.
Reflecting on a conversation with his daughter about the possibility of losing, Ighodalo said, “Honestly, if we lose this election and we know we lost it fairly and squarely, I will be the first to concede. But I know we cannot lose this election if the playing field is levelled.”
