Former governor of Edo State, Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor yesterday formally declared his intention to run for the governor under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Osunbor, who left office fifteen years ago as a governor of Edo state, made his intention known yesterday Thursday at the party secretariat in Benin City.
He was a governor of Edo State between May 2007 and November 2008 but later sacked by the election tribunal.
Osunbor was replaced by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole of the then Action Congress.
The former governor while addressing newsmen in Edo State capital, stated that he had the capacity to lead the party and the state in a proper way if given the opportunity in the coming election in the State.
In his words:“I have the experience and integrity, having been in the office as governor for a short time. I will deliver good governance,” he said.
He solicited the support of the party leaders and promised that he would take the state to greater heights.
