Deji Adeleke’s 1250MW power plant, one of Nigeria’s largest energy projects, is set for commissioning

A major milestone in Nigeria’s energy sector is about to be achieved with the completion of a 1250MW power plant, spearheaded by billionaire businessman Dr. Deji Adeleke, which is now ready for commissioning.

According to sources close to the project, the final stage is connecting it to the national gas grid, following which it will emerge as one of Nigeria’s largest power projects, substantially boosting the country’s electricity generation capacity.

This significant investment reflects the private sector’s renewed confidence in Nigeria’s infrastructure sector and marks substantial progress in addressing the country’s longstanding energy shortage.
