Daniel Bwala, a former aide to Atiku Abubakar, has officially rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC), weeks after his appointment as Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was met with controversy, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
Bwala announced his return to the APC via his X page, sharing a photo of himself at the APC media centre with the caption ‘Sweet Home.
Bwala’s return to the APC confirms predictions that his involvement in Tinubu’s administration was a sign of his changing allegiance, and also marks a return to his political roots after previously defecting to the PDP to support Atiku’s presidential campaign.
Bwala’s appointment by Tinubu was met with mixed reactions, as critics within the PDP questioned his decision to join an administration he had previously opposed, while some APC supporters expressed scepticism due to his past criticism of Tinubu, a contrast to figures like Nyesom Wike who remains in the PDP despite serving in the Tinubu administration.
