Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned indefinitely the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), after Kanu insisted that Justice Nyako could not preside over his case due to her previous recusal, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
This development comes after a previous directive for Kanu to appear in court on February 10, 2025.
Earlier in January, Kanu filed a petition against Justice Nyako with the National Judicial Council, alleging judicial misconduct in his trial.
Kanu also requested that his case be transferred to the South-East if no judge at the Federal High Court in Abuja is willing to preside over it, except for Justice Binta Nyako.
