The Defence Headquarters has debunked a viral news that General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), is dead.
Musa is the current Chief of Defence Staff and was appointed by President Tinubu on June 19, 2023.
General Musa is a member of the 38th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy.
He was commissioned on 21 September 1991 into the Nigerian Army Infantry Corps.
He went to Defence University in Beijing, China where he holds his Master’s degree.
This information was revealed in a post by Defence Headquarters twitter account on Tuesday, November 21.
In the tweet:“Contrary to recent false publication, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, is alive and well.
“Please rely on credible sources for accurate information.”
