Christopher Nkunku is set to join AC Milan after a verbal agreement was reached with Chelsea for a transfer worth up to €42 million, including add-ons.
The French forward agreed to a five-year contract with the Rossoneri on Wednesday.
Negotiations between Milan and Chelsea continued into today, with the two clubs now finalizing the official paperwork. The transfer fee is expected to exceed €35 million, with performance-based bonuses potentially increasing the total value to around €42 million.
Nkunku, who has had difficulty establishing himself at Stamford Bridge, is willing to leave Chelsea before the transfer window closes and has indicated that Milan is his preferred choice. Milan consider him a top target to bolster their attack.
With the agreement settled, the only remaining step is to finalize the paperwork and confirm the deal. Meanwhile, Milan are moving swiftly to bring him on board as part of their last-minute effort to bolster their attacking lineup.
