Nigeria’s Edwin Clark, a former federal commissioner for information and prominent leader of the Ijaw ethnic group, passed away on Monday, February 17, at the age of 97, his family has announced.
The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, made the announcement of his death in a statement on Monday, February 17.
Clark remained a highly respected figure in Nigerian politics until his death.
His efforts towards the development of the Ijaw people and Nigeria as a whole have had a lasting impact on the nation’s history.
