Federal Ministry of Education, on Wednesday, disclosed the release of the results of the 2023 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into unity schools.
NCEE is for admission into Junior Secondary School (JSS 1) of Federal Unity Colleges across the country.
Federal Ministry of Education, though the permanent secretary, David Adejo Andrew, engaged press men after receiving the results from the Registrar of the National Examinations Council, Prof. Ibrahim Wushishi.
Asejo, stated that a total of seventy two thousand, eight hundred and sixty five (72,865) pupils registered for the examination.
He said the examination recorded an increase in the number of female students.
In his words, “A total of seventy two thousand, eight hundred and sixty five (72,865) pupils registered compared to 71,738 for 2022 with Lagos State having the highest number of 18,644 and Taraba with the lowest of 102″.
Adejo, applauded NECO for ensuring that the conduct of the examination was hitch-free.
