Breaking: Immigration seizes Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s passport at Abuja Airport

In a surprise move at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport this morning, immigration officials confiscated the passport of Senator Natasha H Akpoti-Uduaghan.

The event kept her from boarding a scheduled British Airways flight to London.

The senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District was stopped at an immigration checkpoint and informed that she was classified as a “national security risk.” Citing “security orders from above,” officials refused to release her travel documents.

Eyewitnesses reported that Senator Natasha remained calm but strongly objected to the action, accompanied by her husband, Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, and questioned the legal basis for the seizure. ‘This was never authorized by the court. You have no right to confiscate my passport,’ she allegedly told immigration officers.
