Breaking: Former ITF DG dies
Professor Olugbemiro Akerejola, a former Director-General of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), has passed away.
The family has confirmed his passing, although the circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear. His younger brother, Demiloye Akerejola, made the announcement on behalf of the Eminefo Royal Dynasty.
“With a heavy heart, I confirm and announce the death of Professor Olugbemiro Akerejola,” the statement read.
A prominent educationist from Kogi State, aged over 80, reportedly passed away on Monday night.
Professor Akerejola was highly regarded in academic circles for his distinguished service as head of the ITF, where he played a key role in shaping manpower development policies in Nigeria.
