Portable, whose real name is Okikiola Badmus, was granted bail by an Upper Area Court in Ilorin, Kwara State, after being arraigned on multiple charges, including criminal defamation, intimidation, inciting public disturbance and cyberstalking, with bail set at ₦1 million, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
The court also ruled that Portable’s bail conditions include providing two sureties, each in the same amount.
In the ruling, one of the members must be either the Chairman or Secretary of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, while the other must own a landed property within a Government Reserved Area, with a valid Certificate of Occupancy.
The embattled ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner’s legal woes follow a petition filed by fellow musician Saheed Osupa, who accused him of using inflammatory and defamatory language that could incite violence and damage his reputation.
