First term governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress on Tuesday held a closed-door meeting at the Kebbi State Government House in Birnin Kebbi to deliberate on issues of national importance and matters affecting the ruling party, SavannahNewnow Reports.
The meeting brought together governors serving their first four-year term from across the country, with discussions expected to centre on national development and the APC’s agenda.
Governors in attendance included those from Kaduna, Plateau, Ekiti, Delta, Zamfara, Kano, Jigawa, Ebonyi, Edo, Ondo, Kogi, Sokoto and Benue states, among others.
The governors were received by the Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, alongside the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
Providing updates on the arrivals through his Facebook page, Abuzaidu Yari, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Kebbi State Governor, said the meeting would focus on key issues aimed at advancing national development and strengthening the ruling party.
While announcing the arrival of the Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu, Yari stated that the APC governors had gathered in Kebbi for a special meeting to discuss important issues concerning Nigeria’s development.
