A member representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in Kaduna State, Nigeria, Hon Ekene Abubakar Adams is dead, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
Honourable Adams died in the early hours of Tuesday.
He was a former football player, ex GM of Kada City Football Club, ex GM Remo Stars before joining politics and winning the house of Reps election under Labour Party in 2023.
He was appointed Chairman of House of Representatives committee on sports despite being a first timer.
During the electioneering process, the late Abubakar Adams contested for chairman under Action Congress of Nigeria (APC) in 2021 but lost in the primaries.
Adams also contested APC House of Representatives primaries but lost and later find his way to Labour Party (LP) and got the ticket.
His mother is Igbo, wiife Yoruba and his father from a minority tribe in Kaduna.
This will be the second death in the House of Reps within 7 days.
