Adamawa gov increases corpers’ monthly allowance by N10,000

The Governor of Adamawa, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has increased the monthly payment of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in the state by 10,000.

The Governor disclosed this in a statement addressing the 2023 Batch C Stream 11 Corps members deployed to the state.

In the statement:“Your dedication to nation-building is recognized, and we’re enhancing your stay with an additional N10,000 increase in your monthly allowance,” he wrote on X.

The governor added that the extra ₦10,000 is meant to cushion the effects of the removal of fuel subsidy.

“I have equally directed essential supplies of food items to the youth corpers in the state for a memorable orientation experience”.

The governor advised the Corps members to engage meaningful activities. He also urged them to make friends.

“As you embark on this journey, remember that Adamawa State embraces you as our honorary indigene,” Fintiri said.

“We look forward to witnessing your contributions to our community and the nation at large.”
