Mr. Olorunwa Adegun, Acting Rector of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, has congratulated Rt. Hon. Ololade Gbegudu on his election as the new Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly.
It was disclosed that the immediate past Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Akinrutan Abayomi, had stepped down in order to maintain a balanced political formula, given that he and the Governor are from the same zone.
Mr. Adegun congratulated Hon. Gbegudu in a message, praising his commitment to public service and expressing confidence in his leadership abilities, noting that his new role is well-deserved and timely given his extensive experience and dedication to Ondo State’s development.
He extended his warm felicitations to the Deputy Speaker while hailing the transparent and fair process that led to his emergence as the number two leader of the legislative arm of the government.
The Acting Rector encouraged the Deputy Speaker to leverage his extensive knowledge and political expertise to foster a strong working relationship with the Speaker of the House and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration.
The Acting Rector believes that their collaborative efforts can bring about significant transformation in Ondo State, turning it into a model of progress and development.
He also wished Rt. Hon. Gbegudu a successful and impactful tenure.
